OUR HISTORY

Northwest Developers (NWD), formerly known as the New Hope Development Corporation, is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit corporation that is part of the ownership structure of New Hope Village apartments focused on the welfare of its tenants and of the broader community by supporting various programs that decrease gun violence, promote mental health, reduce food insecurity, improve education and educational opportunities for seniors and youth. The Northwest Developers Board members were former Board members of New Hope Development Corporation No. 1 and have been supporting those in need for more than thirty years. New Hope Village apartments were the vision of the former pastor of the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, Reverend Dr. Charles Everett Thomas.
